Ms. Dina

(Arabic)

Hello! My name is Dima Jabi. I am Syrian / American. I was born in Riyadh and raised in both California and Syria. I have a BA in English Literature from Damascus University as well as a diploma in translation from English to Arabic and vice versa. I obtained my teaching license in teaching Elementary from George Mason University, Virginia. I hold a Masters degree in teaching English as a Second Language and Bilingual Education from American College of Education, Indianapolis. I have been working in the field of education since 2002 in Syria, Alkhobar, and Riyadh. I have been teaching in MLS for 5 years now. I taught grade 1 for 3 years and grade 3 for 2 years.

As an educator. I try my best to create a classroom atmosphere where all the students respect each other for who they are. It is my hope that my students learn to admire social diversity and the uniqueness of each individual. All students should feel precious and free to express themselves in class, for each student’s input is important to help the whole class and students grow.

Some of my hobbies are exercising, swimming, and travelling.

I will be teaching English to 9-10 year olds as well as Math to 11-13 year olds. I look forward to this new experience of virtual learning!
